"Electra" this weekend

There's murder and revenge afoot in Gallatin this least on stage anyway. Vol State students will present "Electra" at the Palace Theater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Greek classic gets an update in this new version. The Frank McGuiness take on “Electra” is often described as a translation. It uses modern speech to help the audience better understand the story. The play is directed by Vol State Associate Professor Edmon Thomas. It will be presented on April 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. and April 6 at 2:30 p.m. All performances will he held at the Palace Theater on the square in downtown Gallatin. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit student scholarships. For more information call 615-230-3202.
