Vol State grad new head of Sumner EMS

Congrats to Vol State grad Keith Douglas!

This article is from the Tennessean:

Keith Douglas has been named head of Sumner County's Emergency Medical Services. County commissioners voted unanimously this week to install Douglas, a 15-year agency veteran.
Douglas said he was humbled by the appointment, adding it is his team that makes the real difference in the county agency.

A graduate of Volunteer State Community College, Douglas joined the agency in 1993 as a part-time dispatcher. He rose through the ranks to become dispatcher supervisor, operations manager and, in 1997, assistant director.

"I have received a lot of encouragement and support from our employees, family, friends and community leaders," Douglas said.

Commissioner Jim Vaughn of Gallatin said Douglas deserves the position and has the experience the department needed.

A near lifelong resident of Sumner County, Douglas lives in Oak Grove with his wife and three children.
