Vol State cheers on the Regional Champion Pioneer Baseball Team

The Volunteer State Community College Baseball Team won the Region VII championship game on Friday with a 10-4 win over Dyersburg State. Now they get ready for a big match up to determine a trip to the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Vol State Pioneers will host a best 2-of-3 series with the Georgia state champion in Gallatin beginning Friday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. They will play on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and then Sunday at 1:00 p.m. if necessary. The teams are part of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The college is encouraging alumni, supporters and all baseball fans to come and cheer the team on to victory.
