Mark Twain once said, “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.” We have seen every style of clothing imaginable on the Volunteer State Community Campus. In fact, because of this relaxed environment, it is more common to see pajama pants than slacks and ties. After purchasing a vintage Dr. Who suit, Amadeus Nunaley was inspired to wear it on campus. After receiving a positive response from many students, he wanted to see what kind of participation he would get from others. You can find more information on his Suit-Up Facebook page. He said, “Our goal is to dress up the Vol State Campus for the day. On Wednesday, January 26, all are invited to dress in their most snazzy clothes they own. Join us as we Suit Up.” Even if you don’t want to wear a suit and tie, he still encourages participation by wearing dressier clothes than normal.
