Gordon Kennedy brought his songwriting talents to Vol State earlier this week. The multi-Grammy award winning artist is probably best known for the 1997 Eric Clapton hit "Change the World". That ballad won song the year. Kennedy has also worked with Bonnie Raitt, Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood, just to name a few. He was visiting Vol State for a taping of a new Vol State songwriting TV show that is in production. The show, hosted by Ben Clark, himself an established songwriter and musician. Kennedy shared his vision for crafting a song and then took a turn playing in the Vol State recording studio. The Vol State songwriters TV show will debut next spring and air on cable stations across the area and include web streaming.
