Bluegrass and Barbecue are two things that go well together. On Thursday, June 21 Volunteer State Community College at Highland Crest in Springfield will be combining the summer favorites with a practical purpose: to help students get registered for fall classes. The Bluegrass and Barbecue event is a fun way to get ready for the fall semester, and show students what the new Highland Crest campus has to offer. Students don’t have to register on that day. Registration will be open all summer. However, with increasing enrollment students are urged to register early to make sure they get the classes they want.
New students will need to apply to the college before they can register. That can be done online at http://www.volstate.edu%20or/ in-person at the campus. The Bluegrass and Barbecue Registration Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Highland Crest campus at 150 Laureate Avenue. It is free and open to everyone.
