Are you applying for Financial Aid and scholarships? There are a couple of priority dates you should know about. Notice we said dates, not deadlines. People can apply for financial aid and scholarships throughout the year. But if you have your FAFSA (federal financial aid application) turned in by April 1 you will have all of your financial aid worked out well ahead of time and you can apply for private scholarships through the foundation, and have the best shot at getting that money as well. That priority date is also April 1. Here is a link for more info and the scholarship application.
It comes down to this: if you can't get your FAFSA and Scholarship applications in by April 1, just get them done as soon as possible. The sooner you get them done, the better off you will be, and the more money you will be eligible for. If you have more questions visit the Financial Aid website.
