Consider the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society

Students eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa honors society should receive letters in September. If you’re eligible, you may want to consider applying. The community college honors society helps students build leadership skills. Some of the top students at Vol State are involved each year. Last semester Joseph Olson of Hendersonville and Lara Miller of Lebanon were nominated to the Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Community College Academic Team. The select group is chosen from community college students across the country. The two Vol State students were originally named to the All-Tennessee Academic Team, and then chosen for this national honor, the prelude to being named to the national team itself.
