This is a real field trip!

Some classes are just a bit cooler than others. How about a course that takes you to the Southwest for geology and geography lessons under the desert sky? That's what a group of Vol State students did recently as part of the Maymester Southwest Field Trip class. It's a combined effort by Associate Professor of Geography Keith Bell and Instructor of Geology Clark Cropper. They traveled to the four corners area of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. The course included visits to ancient ruins and national parks. The group is back and has a running blog about what they did. Take a look at:
