Where You Can Go for Free Math Help on the Gallatin Campus

Math is a difficult subject for many college students and it’s hard to get around it; we all end up taking one or two math courses during our time here at Vol State, and many science courses ask us to solve some tough equations. Fortunately, there’s a resource that’s free to all Vol State students on the Gallatin campus that can help with any difficult math problems you might have. Kadee Johnson is a freshman here at Vol State and she visits the Learning Commons for tutors to help her with coursework. “When we have a question they’re pretty quick to respond,” says Kadee, “If they don’t know the answer, they’ll find someone who does.”

The math tutors in the Learning Commons are available for all Vol State students, and in all math classes, and the math based science classes, like physics.
The Learning Commons is located in the Thigpen Library.  All you need to do is drop in and ask for help at the front desk. They can help you improve in a specific area, or they can identify where you might be struggling. To know more about how and when the Learning Commons can help you, please follow this link.
