Priority Registration for Current Students Starts April 5 and 6

Fall and Summer Priority class registration will begin on April 5 and 6. Priority registration is your opportunity to get the classes you need at the times you want. You can register for fall and summer classes before the public. Vol State will have more in-person classes this fall!
The schedules for Summer and Fall 2021 classes are available now on My Vol State and in Degree Works. The college will be expanding the number of on-ground classes available on all four campuses for the fall semester while also offering online classes for students who still want that format. As classes in each format fill, we will add additional sections, as possible. This is our way of trying to give students classes in the format they want in the fall. That also makes it more important for students to REGISTER IN APRIL for fall classes because it will be harder for us to add new classes in August. Summer classes will be primarily online.
Get ready now by logging into your My Vol State portal at https://portal.volstate.edu and clicking on Degree Works on the left under Quick Links. Check to see what classes you need for your degree path. Then click on assigned advisor in Degree Works and click on the envelope icon at the top to contact them to make an appointment. Your academic advisor can help you with your course schedule and make sure you are taking the classes you need for your major.
Priority spring course registration for current sophomores (completed 30 credit hours or more) starts at 8am on April 5. It opens for current freshmen (completed less than 30 credit hours) on April 6 at 8am.
If you have problems, you can contact the Advising Center via email at advising@volstate.edu or call 615-230-3702.
New freshmen students will register later, see your email for details in coming weeks.
