Masks No Longer Required on Campus for Those Vaccinated


Per CDC guidelines, face masks are no longer required inside or outside on Vol State campuses for people who are vaccinated. Those persons that are not vaccinated for COVID-19 are strongly encouraged to continue wearing a mask and to continue social distancing both to protect themselves and others.

COVID vaccinations are getting easier and reaching more people.


At the Vol State campus in Gallatin, vaccinations are on a drive-up basis next week, May 17-21, no appointment needed. Starting May 24, the clinic will move inside the Pickel Field House for walk-ups, no appointments needed. And a reminder that vaccines have been authorized for 12-15 year-olds, as well. Kids under age 14 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. A non-parent or guardian bringing the child to Vol State must have signed note allowing for the child to receive the vaccine.

The Vol State clinic hours are 7am – 1pm on Friday, May 14 and 12:30pm to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, starting Monday, May 17.

Vol State Graduation Livestream on May 8


We're looking forward to in-person graduation ceremonies on Saturday, May 8. They will happen at 10am and 2pm. Just a reminder that guests are not allowed. Both ceremonies will be streamed live and recorded for viewing later at www.volstate.edu/graduation We also have a virtual graduation video for those students who could not attend and for others who wished to participate that way. It will be part of each ceremony stream.
